Post Strike Employee Return to Work Program

Course Description:

A labor dispute typically takes a toll on everyone who has been involved, especially if it has been contentious.  So when it is time to go back to work together, a plan needs to be in place to ease that transition.  This course will provide that plan.  It will address company policy and procedures for successful re-engagement of the workforce along with any required disciplinary matters as a result of strike misconduct.  We will review required safety training, any refresher training necessary and new work process training.  The course will suggest ways to re-establish a workplace harmony and to put ill feelings aside.  It will also emphasize the importance of maintaining the documented evidence by strike security of dispute activity and any misconduct for future reference, employee discipline, or courtroom proceedings.  The course will remind all employees to be alert for isolated acts of sabotage due to residual bitterness.  Finally, we will highlight the importance of effectively communicating and enforcing and new work processes or controls that may have been included in the new collective bargaining agreement.
